As a cinematographer, director, and editor I have relentlessly pursued outdoor and editorial storytelling with an emphasis on backcountry skiing, my true passion in life. I aim to mix beautiful imagery with compelling characters to tell your story. In commercial work, authenticity is at the core of my mission to accurately and aesthetically represent your brand and vision

While filming in Golden, B.C. last winter, Wiley and Ed met a mysterious Japanese skier in the parking lot who was notorious for skiing the biggest lines in the Purcells. After nearly a year, the boys headed up to meet Shika, see what makes him tick, and ski some of the lines that fuel his passion.

See Sammy Carlson adventure to the high mountain peaks of Alaska & British Columbia to push the boundaries of what is possible deep into the mountains. This back country terrain proved to be the perfect canvas for Sammy to push the limits of skiing. Joined by his friends Vinzenz Keller & Todd Ligare, the crew spent the winter of 2022 in some of the world's most remote locations.

In Episode 2 of On Scene with Wiley Miller, the crew seeks alternative objectives to ride amid a dangerous avalanche cycle in Yellowstone Country.

After biding their time in smaller terrain, their patience is rewarded with some big lines, good snow, and sore bodies.

In episode 1 of On Scene, Wiley and the crew head to Utah, where they received over 100 inches of snow in the first two weeks of snow in January. What they found was what some call “hero snow.”

On their way back to Montana, Wiley joins up with Ben Smith to ski a line he scouted while looking for Elk in November. The snow was less than optimal, but the adventure was worth it nonetheless.

John Spriggs has heard it a million times: “You’re a pro skier, must be nice.” What people don’t understand is the work, risk, pain, and reward that comes with dedicating one’s life to backcountry skiing. Come on a journey with Spriggs, McRae Williams, Taylor Seaton, Ben Moxham, Wiley Miller and more as they make their way through winter in the Rockies and show not only breathtaking action, but the other, darker sides of being a professional skier.

As both a commercially rated pilot and professional skier, Wiley Miller finds similarities and parallel passions in flying and skiing. From negotiating weather to knowing when to pull the plug, flying and skiing are not so different.
